about

“Book of Hours” was recorded live in the remarkable baroque central dome of the National Pantheon in Lisbon. The musicians were about 80 meters above ground level on a narrow circular balcony, surrounded by the audience looking down over the abyss and receiving the rich overtones from the dome above. The crystal bowl was played while slow motion walking around the balcony. There was a four channel diffusion of pre-recorded sounds of the crystal bowl with different objects.

João Silva: crystal bowl, objects
Paulo Raposo: recorded crystal bowls, multi-channel diffusion and real-time processing
Carlos Santos: glass harmonica, tibetan bell
